JAKARTA, metro7.co.id – Chairman of the National Scout Council, Kak Budi Waseso, officially opened the Scout Patrol Level 5 (LT-V) Competition 2023 at the Cibubur Campgrounds and Tourist Center (Buperta) in East Jakarta on Sunday (June 18).
The opening ceremony, which will take place from June 17 to 23, 2023, is held at the main field of the Girl Scouts Camp (Kempi) 2, and was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the head of the National Scout Council, Andalan Nasional, the regional Scout chairpersons, and relevant invited guests.
The Deputy Chairman of the South Kalimantan Regional Scout Council (Kwarda Kalsel), Hj Raudatul Jannah, represented by the Deputy Chairman of Public Relations and Information, Kak Berkatullah, also attended the opening ceremony of the LT V 2023.
The flag was raised after the LT-V 2023 competition was officially opened by the Chairman of the National Scout Council, Kak Budi Waseso, with a gong strike ceremony followed by the attachment of the team numbers.
As reported during the opening ceremony by the Chairman of the Committee, the competition was participated by 64 teams from 32 Scout Regional Councils across Indonesia.
Kak Budi invited all individuals involved in the LT-V 2023 competition to enjoy themselves at the camp and not to stress about winning, even though it is a competition.
Kak Budi Waseso emphasized the need for unity among team members, among teams, and between troops and accompanying leaders, despite being in a competitive environment.
Budi Waseso also mentioned that the participating teams in the LT-V 2023 competition are teams that have achieved success in their respective regions. It is hoped that each team, accompanying leaders, and the organizing committee prioritize honesty and fairness.
“Let us all be an example for our younger siblings, to be honest, fair, and impartial, regardless of whether our team wins or not,” he said.
The Chairman of the National Scout Council also advised the winners to celebrate with joy. He also encouraged all participants to take this opportunity to learn and build friendships.
In conclusion, Kak Budi Waseso expressed his gratitude to all parties who have contributed to the success of this event, to the regional councils that participated, and to the parents who allowed their children to participate.
After the opening ceremony, Berkatullah stated that the South Kalimantan Regional Scout Council sent a total of 16 participants from the Banjar District Scout Region and the Banjarmasin City Scout Region.
The boys’ team is represented by SMPN 7 Banjarmasin, while the girls’ team is represented by An-Najah Islamic Boarding School in the Banjar District.
“As per the message from Governor Sahbirin Noor, who is also the Chairman of the Regional Advisory Board (Mabida) and the Chairman of the South Kalimantan Scout Council, Kak Raudatul Jannah, we urge our participants to maintain unity and showcase their best abilities for Banua,” he concluded.
