Bupati Asahan joined the Vice Governor of North Sumatra to inaugurate the Istiqomah Al Musannif Mosque in Dusun VII Tasik, Air Joman Village on Tuesday (30/5). The chairman of BKM Istiqomah Al Musannif, Wagiman, expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation for the arrival of the Vice Governor and Bupati Asahan and their entourage.
“On behalf of BKM and the community, I would like to express gratitude for the presence of the Vice Governor of North Sumatra, who is also the Chairman of Yayasan Haji Hanif, along with Bupati Asahan and their entourage in the inauguration of the Istiqomah Al Musannif Mosque. This mosque, which is located in Dusun VII Tasik, is one of the targets of the 99 mosque grant program initiated by Yayasan Haji Anif,” said Wagiman.
Bupati Asahan, H. Surya Bsc, expressed his gratitude for the completion of the Istiqomah Al Musannif Mosque. “On behalf of the Asahan District Government, I would like to thank all members of the community who have supported the construction and the Vice Governor of North Sumatra, who is also the Chairman of Yayasan Haji Anif, for their significant contributions to the development of this mosque,” he said.
The Bupati also said that the mosque is a sacred place for Muslims to pray and worship to Allah SWT. Aside from being a place of worship, the mosque also serves as a center for Islamic activities. “Therefore, I invite all of us to maintain and make this mosque more prosperous together,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Vice Governor of North Sumatra, H. Musa Rajekshah, hopes that the construction of the mosque can benefit the surrounding community, especially in conducting religious activities. He mentioned that the development of the Istiqomah Al Musannif Mosque is one of the programs initiated by Yayasan Haji Anif to build 99 mosques.
“Alhamdulillah, today we have completed the construction of the 31st mosque among the 99 mosques initiated by our late parents. The Istiqomah Al Musannif Mosque, located in Dusun VII Tasik, Air Joman Village, Air Joman District, Asahan Regency, is one of them,” he said.
Furthermore, he handed over the prosperity and management of the mosque to the BKM and the surrounding community. “I truly hope that the Istiqomah Al Musannif Mosque, aside from being a place of worship, can also be used as a place for Quranic studies and other Islamic activities,” he concluded.
The event was highlighted with the giving of a gift to the Bilal Mayit, the grave digger, by H. Musa Rajekshah, and ended with the signing of an inscription and ribbon cutting by Vice Governor of North Sumatra along with Bupati Asahan and other guests. The event was attended by the Secretary of the Region, Assistant II, Assistant III, Kakan Kemenag, Chairman of MUI, BKM Mesjid Istiqomah, Community Leaders, Religious Leaders, and the community.
