Habib Said Abdul Saleh Leads the Commemoration Ceremony of the Birth of Pancasila 2023
The Vice Regent of Barito Timur, Central Kalimantan, Habib Said Abdul Saleh, led the Commemoration Ceremony of the Birth of Pancasila 2023. The ceremony was held at the local regent’s office on Thursday, June 1st, 2023.
The speech of the Regent of Barito Timur, Ampera AY Mebas, which was read by Vice Regent Habib Said Abdul Saleh on behalf of the Barito Timur Regency Government, congratulated the Birth of Pancasila on June 1st, 2023.
“May the spirit of Pancasila continue to guide our steps and enlighten the way towards a better future for the nation and country of Indonesia,” he said.
He explained that the birth of Pancasila as the Foundation of the Indonesian State cannot be separated from the very important role of the First President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno. From the Book of Indonesian Education by Irwan Gesmi and Yun Hendri, Soekarno presented his thoughts to all participants in the first BPUPKI session on June 1st, 1945.
In that session, Ir. Soekarno outlined the values that are the basis of Indonesia’s national ideology, namely Pancasila, with the State Foundation consisting of five principles: Indonesian Nationality (Nationalism), Humanity (Internationalism), Democracy (Consultation), Social Welfare, and Belief in One Supreme God.
“Today, we gather here to celebrate the Birth of Pancasila on June 1st, 2023, with the theme ‘Collaboration to Build Civilization and Global Growth’ so that this valuable momentum reminds us of the noble values that become the guidelines and identity of the Indonesian nation,” he said.
He explained that the main essence of the commemoration of the Birth of Pancasila in 2023 is to ensure that the country’s ideology’s origin is known by the Indonesian people, from time to time and from generation to generation.
“So that the sustainability and perpetuity of Pancasila are always practiced in society, nation, and state life,” said the Vice Regent.
He added that Pancasila as the state foundation and national ideology represents the spirit of unity, justice, democracy, and cultured people’s citizenship.
“These values have guided our journey as a diverse country but still one in diversity,” he said.
Furthermore, the Vice Regent said that Pancasila is not just words displayed on the state emblem but also becomes the foundation that binds us as Indonesian citizens.
“With the spirit of cooperation, mutual respect, and a sense of creating justice for all for the sake of national unity and unity,” he said again.
The Vice Regent also invited everyone to reflect and strengthen their commitment to uphold Pancasila in all aspects of daily life on this historic day.
“Let us endeavor to maintain the integrity and diversity of the nation, as well as knit together a solid togetherness within the framework of the Unity of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
In that opportunity, the Vice Regent reminded everyone to always work quickly, accurately, and precisely to complete all work or problems thoroughly.
“All of this is a form of our devotion and dedication to the nation and country of Indonesia, Central Kalimantan, and Barito Timur,” he concluded.
The ceremony was also attended by the Secretary of Barito Timur, Heads of OPDs in Barito Timur, as well as civil servants and employees under the Barito Timur Regency Government. ***
