SAMPANG, metro7.co.id – Kapolres Sampang AKBP Siswantoro, accompanied by Wakapolres Sampang Kompol Jalaludin and senior police officers in Sampang, welcomed the 77th Anniversary of Bhayangkara by conducting a visitation and social assistance event on Wednesday (21/6).
The visitation and social assistance activities were carried out by AKBP Siswantoro after leading the Security Unit Chief (Kasatkamling) assembly at the Sampang Police Headquarters.
The Chairperson of Bhayangkari Branch Sampang, Ny Enda Siswantoro, and the members of Bhayangkari Branch Sampang also participated in the event to welcome the 77th Anniversary of Bhayangkara at the Sampang Police Headquarters.
Several retired members of the Indonesian National Police who had served at the Sampang Police Headquarters were visited by Kapolres Sampang AKBP Siswantoro. One of the retired officers is Kompol Purn Heri Darsono, the Chairperson of the Indonesian National Police Family Welfare Institution (PP Polri).
In addition to building relationships with Kompol Purn Heri Darsono, Kapolres Sampang also provided a token of appreciation as a thank you for the support he has given to the Sampang Police in carrying out their duties of providing protection, peacekeeping, and services to the community.
After visiting several retired police officers’ houses and warakawuri, the delegation led by Kapolres Sampang immediately visited the As Sirojiah Islamic Boarding School on Pemuda Baru Street, Kajuk Rongtengah, Sampang and the Al Furqon Orphanage Foundation on Kenari Street, Sampang, to distribute packages of groceries and monetary assistance.
In the afternoon, Kapolres Sampang AKBP Siswantoro and the Chairperson of Bhayangkari Branch Sampang, Ny Enda Siswantoro, held a joint prayer with all the personnel of the Sampang Police Headquarters and its subordinate police stations, as well as members of Bhayangkari, in celebration of the 77th Anniversary of Bhayangkara at the Al-Rasyid Mosque in the Sampang Police Headquarters. They also provided assistance to dozens of orphaned children in the Sampang city area.
Ipda Sujianto SH, the Head of Public Relations at the Sampang Police Headquarters, who represented Kapolres Sampang AKBP Siswantoro, explained that the visitation to the retired police officers and warakawuri was a form of respect from the young generation of the Indonesian National Police, especially in Sampang, for the retired officers’ meritorious service in safeguarding and advancing the Police institution during their service.
“In this visitation, Kapolres Sampang AKBP Siswantoro not only built relationships but also sought support and guidance from the retired police officers to improve the service provided by the Police and to be more beloved by the community,” he said.
Furthermore, regarding the provision of social assistance to Islamic boarding schools, orphanages, and orphaned children, Ipda Sujianto stated that this activity was part of the core duties of the Indonesian National Police, both in terms of security and public order, protection, peacekeeping, and service to the community.
“Through this visitation and social assistance activity, we can help the community and the orphaned children. These activities are a manifestation of the love and care that the Police have for the community. Hopefully, in its 77th year, the Indonesian National Police will continue to mature and be able to carry out many beneficial activities for the community,” he concluded.
