PADANG, metro7.co.id – Pekan Nasional (Penas) XVI Petani Nelayan 2023 has come to an end. The Andalan Farmers and Fishermen Group (KTNA) of South Kalimantan Province extends its gratitude to Governor Sahbirin Noor or Paman Birin.
Chairman of KTNA South Kalimantan, Muharram, expresses his happiness and pride in the presence and support of Paman Birin at the XVI Peasants and Fishermen National Championship from South Kalimantan.
“We would like to thank Governor Sahbirin Noor on behalf of all the KTNA board members, farmers, and fishermen. We also congratulate Sahbirin Noor for receiving the Satyalancana Wira Karya award,” said Muharram.
Muharram stated that the XVI Peasants and Fishermen National Championship becomes an opportunity to enhance collaboration and synergy among multiple parties that have been working well to advance the agricultural sector (plantation, livestock, food crops, horticulture), as well as fisheries and marine in South Kalimantan.
“Furthermore, the Peasants and Fishermen National Championship provides a platform for farmers and fishermen to establish networks and exchange knowledge to advance agricultural and livestock businesses,” said Muharram.
Meanwhile, the Head of the South Kalimantan Plantation and Livestock Agency (Disbunnak), drh Suparmi, revealed the maximum participation of South Kalimantan in the XVI Peasants Championship, with the presence of the provincial KTNA contingent and the KTNA from various districts and cities as the main participants, accompanied by participants and observers totaling more than 800 people, participating in various activities.
The activities included exhibitions, tennis meetings, technology showcases, competitions, and being speakers at the business meeting. All these activities were successfully carried out.
This is in line with the guidance of Governor Sahbirin Noor from South Kalimantan, who was present at the Opening Ceremony of the XVI Peasants Championship and received the Satyalancana Wira Karya Inovasi Sistem Integrasi Kelapa Sawit-Sapi Berbasis Kemitraan Usaha Ternak Inti Plasma (SISKA KU INTIP) award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
“Governor Sahbirin Noor’s message is that farmers and fishermen must continue to strive to achieve the best results and improve production and productivity, including downstream agricultural industries, to support South Kalimantan as the food buffer of the National Food Barn and ultimately to improve the welfare of farmers, planters, breeders, and fishermen in South Kalimantan,” explained Suparmi.
Suparmi further explained that Sahbirin Noor’s presence and the award he received demonstrate his strong support and commitment to agriculture development.
“In addition, Governor Sahbirin Noor’s presence is also the spirit and pride of all the KTNA contingents from the province and districts/cities present in Padang, West Sumatra, as the location for the XVI National Peasants Championship this year,” he added.
Meanwhile, the closing ceremony of the XVI Peasants Championship 2023 was conducted by the Head of the Extension and Human Resource Development Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dedi Nursyamsi, representing the Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, in Padang on Thursday (15/6).
In his speech, Dedi Nursyamsi stated that the XVI Peasants Championship in Padang was well-prepared and proceeded smoothly.
The closing ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Central KTNA, Yadi Sofyan Noor, the Governor of West Sumatra, Mahyeldi, and representatives from provinces and districts/cities, as well as members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum of West Sumatra.
Representing the South Kalimantan Government was the Head of the Plantation and Livestock Agency, Suparmi, who served as the Coordinator of the South Kalimantan Peasants Championship contingent. Also present were Ni Wayan Sri Armiati from the Infrastructure and Facilities Division and officials from the Department of Agriculture, Marine and Fisheries.
During the closing ceremony, it was announced that the host province for the XVII Peasants and Fishermen National Championship in 2026 would be Gorontalo.
