Program PERTADAYA (Pertamina Bersama Disabilitas Berkarya) has become one of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan’s strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs that collaborate with the Borneo Disability House Foundation through the Banjarmasin Integrated Terminal. Established since 2021, the PERTADAYA program has provided benefits to more than 40 people with disabilities in Banjarmasin. The program has also successfully established four disability business locations that have a significant impact on opening up employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Through the hard work of each group member and full support from Pertamina, the PERTADAYA program has been able to increase the group’s income to Rp18 million per month. Pertamina has conducted various training sessions on creating sasirangan with natural dyes that can create superior products with high value in the market. Pertamina brought in various expert speakers to improve the skills of all members.
Recently, Pertamina brought in expert speakers from Assalam Sasirangan Banjarmasin to provide training for PERTADAYA members at the Balai Besar Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Kesejahteraan Banjarmasin Sosial Kementerian Sosial RI. Haryono, the HSSE Supervisor representing the IT Manager of Banjarmasin, stated that the training programs are a form of commitment from PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Integrated Terminal Banjarmasin through the PERTADAYA CSR program.
“The hope of this training is for PERTADAYA group members to understand how to make sasirangan with natural dyes so that the resulting sasirangan is environmentally friendly and can generate income and attract consumers,” he explained.
Norhidayah, the Chairperson of the Borneo Disability House Foundation, explained that this training program is a collaboration between Pertamina and the Balikpapan Disability House (RDB) supported by local stakeholders. “Through this training, participants can gain more insights, especially PERTADAYA members, to process sasirangan with natural dyes so that they can increase consumer interest and skills of the beneficiaries,” she said.
This training program is motivated by the potential for making sasirangan with natural dyes and supporting environmentally friendly efforts. The hope of this training is for PT Pertamina Patra Niaga IT Banjarmasin to become part of the efforts to realize and support inclusivity for people with disabilities in Banjarmasin. “Additionally, the collaboration established among stakeholders can be a synergy in realizing efforts towards independence for people with disabilities and driving economic growth, especially PT Pertamina Patra Niaga IT Banjarmasin’s program beneficiaries,” she added.
This demonstrates Pertamina’s full commitment not only to carry out its noble task of delivering energy to every corner of the country but also to fulfill its duties and obligations with regard to social and environmental responsibility.
